Did you know that even the thoughts we choose can influence the presence of healthy versus unhealthy gut bacteria?

Leaky Gut Syndrome and Microbiome Medicine has gained a lot of attention in recent years and we are learning more and more how our gut health is a root cause for autoimmune disorders. Current statistics even state that nearly one in seven Americans suffers from at least one autoimmune disease, which is alarming! This is a focused lecture that highlights how these conditions originate as well as some specific strategies you can use immediately to start healing your gut and to support your immune system. Many are surprised to learn that their gut health needs to be repaired even when there is an absence of “obvious” gut symptoms! You will gain a greater understanding about what an autoimmune disorder is and what caused the body to start attacking itself. This lecture highlights the upstream thinking used in Functional Medicine and what lifestyle changes can help support the body’s ability to heal itself.
