We are a family company guided by our community mission at Ellwood's. As we work through the end of the pandemic and it's multiple economic challenges, we want to let you know that we're thinking about all of you - our stewards, our customers, our vendors and our community. We will do everything possible to continue our operations with minimal interruption and be there for one another.
During the pandemic the diet of so many Americans has reverted to more processed and industrialized food. Unfortunately it shows up in our country's obesity, diabetes and chronic disease numbers. We are reacting by going deeper in our mission and values so that our customers have the most healthy and environmentally sensitive choices.
Here are a few things we suggest that you might do right now to stay healthy:
- Feed yourself, family and friends the most nutrient dense organic food you can from local sources.
- Pause to be more conscious, exercise and get lots of sleep to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy and happy.
- Stay out of the clutches of large, industrial food corporations who have so many ways to get you to buy their ultra processed food.
- Find community in the food system by connecting with local farmers and supporting community agricultural projects, small local food organizations and farmers markets.
Wishing you and your family good health!
