The Happiness Series: Zip Your Inner Critic

When

Tuesday,  September 26th / 6:30 to 7:30PM

Where

The Beet at Ellwood Thompson’s

About This Class

You talk to yourself constantly, am I right?  We all do.  And what you say matters.  Too often, that voice in your head is the voice of criticism, telling you things that disempower and immobilize you.  If you allow it to chatter away unchecked, it has the power to produce anxiety and even depression that can rob you of a happy and fulfilled life.  With relatable and personable approach, Vernon Brown shares his stories of worry, confusion and happiness in this class, Zip Your Inner Critic.  It is all about embracing your humanity and using that understanding to show up in life happier and more successful.

With his humorous and entertaining approach, Vernon will explore:

  • How life can create habits that effect your inner conversation in a negative way
  • Acknowledge that life is pushing you to be more critical and less accepting
  • How use the same thoughts that say “What is wrong” to say “How does this help?”

He points out the significance of not taking yourself too seriously and to appreciate life even in the less than happy moments.  Join Vernon for a potentially life-altering presentation as he demonstrates how to:

  • Spot the signs when your inner critic gets the best of you and affects your quality of life.
  • Lower the volume—or completely quiet—the criticism and negativity, replacing it with uplifting and energizing thoughts.
  • Implement simple activities to train your brain not to go on auto pilot where the inner critic lives.

The Happiness Series

The Happiness Series is a four-part class series consisting of four conversations positioned around four significant pillars of personal happiness.

Having coached over 10,000 people in the past four years, Vernon puts together practical methods to increase personal happiness.  Streamlined into 45-minute bite sized portions that embrace laughter, positive thinking, exercise, and inspiration, The Happiness Series gives light to the possibility that we can be healthy people living versus healthy people surviving.

People are more than the struggles they deal with.  Vernon talks with those who are challenged, and together he helps people get the life they never dreamed possible started for them.  Then he keeps the momentum going in that direction.  With support, confidentiality, and no judgment, Vernon opens the door to the possibilities.

About Vernon Brown

Vernon Brown is a happiness and success coach and owner of What’s Your Happi, a hands-on life coaching practice designed around an individual’s true happiness. Check out Michelle’s blog and you’ll see a lot of tips centered around this wellness hack, and for good reason! She believes batch cooking is your blueprint to a healthy, vibrant life.

Per Michelle’s wisdom: “You are busy, you are awesome, you are out in the world rocking at life. Cook once a week and you’re set-up for anything life throws your way. Look at it like this: when you consider your lifelong longevity, a few short hours once a week will actually add years to your life, so what may feel like a time investment now is actually buying you time to live the life you love long term. It’s a no brainer.” And we think she makes a great point.

As if that wasn’t enough, prepare your taste-buds. Michelle will demo, sample, and provide recipe cards for a few of her favorite, game changing recipes!

Natural Thyroid, Hormone & Weight-Loss Seminar with Dr. Wild

When

Tuesday, September 19th / 6:30 to 8:30PM

Location

The Beet at Ellwood Thompson’s

Description

Hyperthyroidism, a little understood disorder, results in symptoms that stem from hormone dysregulation.  According to the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) 27 million suffer from a thyroid condition and 50% are undiagnosed.  Surprisingly, 90% of women over 40 suffer from subclinical hypothyroid.  Although there are 27 known forms of Hyperthyroidism, conventional medicine treats them all the same way- by prescribing various medications that either have no effect or further irritate the system.  Doctors are conducting the wrong tests and asking the wrong questions when it comes to your endocrine (hormonal) health.  Too often, we treat the symptoms without understanding the underlying cause for a disorder, and often, the cause can be alleviated through diet and lifestyle change.

Thyroid symptoms can be extremely varied and difficult to diagnose.  Common symptoms include extreme weight gain or loss, brittle hair, flaky skin, flimsy nails, feeling cold, regular joint pain, frequent headaches, IBS, difficulty sleeping, premature aging, unexpected mood swings, irritability, depression, trouble concentrating and high blood pressure.  Needless to say, a thyroid condition can leave a huge impact on your life, affecting your relationships, family, goals, job performance and self-esteem.  This can lead to feelings of depression, desperation, inadequacy, and uncertainty.

If you suffer from a thyroid disorder, you should know, you are not irrational!  You are not inadequate!  And you are not alone!  Join us in The Beet for Dr. Wild’s discussion to learn more about the underlying cause of most autoimmune diseases, cellular inflammation and the detrimental effects this can have on our organs, brain, endocrine system, and the every cell that makes up our body.  Learn what you can do daily to reduce inflammation and how to reduce stress on your system by avoiding various toxins and irritants.  Dr. Wild offers a “Seminar Special” for those interested in a substantial reduction in cost for initial tests that may change what you thought you understood about your own body!  You might just find the answers you are looking for…
