The second annual Farm to School Week was announced by Supervisor of Food Services Patty Seale, who has been overseeing the incorporation of a number of Madison County products for the week and changes to the everyday menu.
Madison County High School and Wetsel Middle School students had their “farm fresh” meal toward the end of the week, on Thursday. The meal included Papa Weaver’s Pork barbeque, homemade rolls, Riverbend Farm potatoes and apples from Graves Mountain Orchard. All are Madison County-based food producers.
