Ellwood Thompson’s staff reads labels — lots of labels. We don’t sell anything at our store that we wouldn’t eat ourselves. Our shelves are stocked with foods that are minimally processed and free of artificial flavors, colors, and preservatives and sweeteners. You won’t find trans-fats, hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, or GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms). You will discover fresh, healthy, delightful food that’s as nutritious as it is delicious.
Our buyers actively seek out and support sources of locally grown organic foods, recognizing their environmental and health benefits. We feature meat and poultry that is free-range, organic, and free of hormones, antibiotics, and chemicals. Products offered at Ellwood’s are cruelty-free, proven safe through non-animal testing methods and we have a policy of integrity and full disclosure about the ingredients and sources of our products.
