Factory farming also has profound effects on the environment because of the overwhelming amount animal waste that is produced. Many factory farmer use waste “lagoons” to hold vast amounts of animal waste and Federal tax dollars are available to help set up these lagoons. For more information:

Seafood
When it comes to seafood, we’re freshness and flavor fanatics. Ellwood’s works with Seafood Watch, a monitoring program administered by the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Their informative guide helps us determine which seafood varieties are harvested sustainably to ensure the breeds are not over-harvested or endangered.
