So I just complained about the over-packaging for my SIGG bottle. I wrote the company an e-mail this morning with pictures and the hope that they would take my e-mail into consideration, well, they sure did. Within the hour I got a phone call from a real-life person, believe it or not. Her name was Maria and she was the online/shipping manager. She was beyond apologetic and explained the shipping process. It turns out that SIGG outsources a side company to do their packing and shipping (like I’m sure most companies do). They have been working closely with this company to use biodegradable bubble wrap and other sustainable packaging products.However when I showed her the pictures of the size of the box they shipped it in and the amount of packaging, she was, in my terms, pissed. She is now personally e-mailing their shipping company to complain and will probably end up dropping them, she said. Whoa!Anyway, just wanted to make it clear that SIGG DOES in fact very much care about the environment and their packaging and will follow up with complaints.Thanks SIGG.
