We Will Build Your Design

I bet a lot of you don’t realize how easy this is. If you have any creative juices left in you after Thanksgiving, or even before. Please register for the Bike Rack Design Competition. The simplicity of it all breaks down like this:
1. You fill our your name, address, and some basic info. Cost: $0
2. Tell us on a piece of paper what your concept or inspiration for your design is, give us some sketches, color drawings, doodles on a napkin, something that visually communicates what you intend on this bike rack to look like. Then, list some materials that you think this piece might be made of. Metal, recycled steel, plastic, concrete, etc. Cost: $0
3. Then we say, “Oh man! We really like this dude’s/girl’s design and doodles, let’s move him/her to stage 2. Cost: $0
4. We give you a call, “Hey, you made it to stage 2, yay! Here’s what you have to do next…” Cost: $0
5. Now all you have to do is give us some working drawings. We’re talking about a plan, elevation, and section drawings. Show us some dimensions on there, that kind of thing. It doesn’t have to be extremely detailed, but we kinda’ want to know how this thing is put together and the size of it. Maybe you could also show us a colored perspective or some sort of mock up of the design. Then, give us an estimated materials list. What materials you think this should be compiled of and their estimated costs. Throw in their sustainability level and a short paragraph as to why your design should be chosen and then just wait. Cost: Maybe a few bucks for some nice paper and some Crayolas.
6. Now just wait. Let us pick which one or two we like the best and we’ll give you a call. If you win, we take OUR money, NOT yours, and build your design so all the happy bikes in the city can have something to hug while you get some groceries or hot coffee.
