Have you ever wondered what exactly vitamins are, where they come from and how they were discovered? Well, The Vitamin Code, by Massoud Arvanaghi, PHD and Mike Yorkey is a really good laymen’s read on the what, where and how of vitamins. And if you are interested in getting off the grid of conventional medicine and trying a more holistic approach to good health, this book is a righteous starting point. For the uninformed, but mindful consumer, the vitamin world surely is a mind boggling place to find yourself in, and this book not only explains what vitamins are, but also all the different kinds of vitamins: synthetic versus natural, whole food versus isolated vitamins and minerals, and raw food vitamins versus fermented vitamins. So it is a kind of shopping guide for you. Yes, the authors are pushing one new vitamin brand in particular… you guessed it, Vitamin Code vitamins… These are going to be great for anyone who is into raw foods, vegan eating and sparkling good health. I tried them and honestly liked them. It made me feel special to know that I am getting vitamins in their whole food form….

This is awesome Kate - thanks for posting it. There’s so much to learn when you first start a new wellness routine - learning the ins and outs of vitamins/supplements can be daunting. This will surely help.
The same is definitely true of intentional eating - going vegetarian or vegan, eating raw, or changing your diet for health reasons - like reducing gluten consumption.
Ellwoods has a ton of books - like the Vitamin Code - to help get you started.
