Have you noticed the Williams Bakery storefront where Metro Bakery used to be? Well, Williams did not need the kitchen since all of their baking is done at their Mechanicsville location. So we have renovated the kitchen area and made it our own. Last Thursday, our bakers moved into their new digs across the street.
The addition space allows our bakers to work more easily and increase their production. Our goal is to never run out of lemon bars again!
Soon I will figure out how to effectively import pictures in this blog, but for now, for the sake of time, I’ll just let you know that we have lots of luscious lemon bars, toffee bars (vegan), jam bars (vegan) and cookies galore!
Our bakery uses only organic flours and organic evaporated cane juice in its various guises — powdered, granulated and succanat, which we use instead of brown sugar. We use organic milk, cream and soymilk. Butter is from cows that have never had any antibiotics or artificial hormones.
There’ll be lots more news out of our bakeshop in the days to come! Keep checking this space!
