Last week Lesley and I attended an INFRA conference at the Hawthorne Valley Farm. INFRA is the Independent Natural Food Retailers Association. INFRA “is a cooperative owned and governed by visionary retailers in the natural foods industry. We are bringing together retailers from all regions of the country to share resources, build market share, and strengthen our position in the industry.” It was a great meeting with wonderful resources - and the FOOD! The conference was hosted by the amazing people at the Hawthorne Valley Farm. Hawthorne Valley is a certified biodynamic farm with a bakery, store, Waldorf school, dairy etc. all nestled in 400 acres of beautiful pastures, fields woodlands and gardens. I took some video of Rachel, the farmers wife and much, much more, telling us about the history of the farm and biodynamic farming. She is a great speaking and very informative. Check it out and let me know if you have any questions. I would love to go on and on about the experience…..

I’ve been meaning to post for a while now… thank you Lauri for linking the vids for all to see. What a trip - I loved every minute! I learned so much from the folks at Hawthorne Valley and the other retailers we met at the conference. Great ideas for our store!
