Sustainable and Affordable - what a concept
This was posted on Jun 2nd, 2008 by Lauri and tagged in Sustainable & Green
I was reading in the magazine GOOD about a builder in Philadelphia who is building attractive, sustainable housing in an up and coming North Philly neighborhood for 100,000. His name is Chad Ludeman and is company is Postgreen. His minimalist approach has open floor plans of little more than 1,000 sq feet. There are no granite counter tops but the houses are built in as little as 3 to 4 days and have solar heat and recycled materials that will help keep down the carbon foot print and not increase the costs of the housing.
