This Sunday, May 18, they are going to shut down part of Broad St. for a food/Art show. Some of the best restaurants in Richmond will be there. It should be great. Each restaurant is doing 3 dishes - they are $3.00 each. Of the three each will pick one to be judged on. There are also supposed to be a bunch of artists and music. Heres hopin’ the weather holds out! Of course Jannequin will be there and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us. You should come by!

Broad Appetit was wonderful, especially considering it was the first year and it rained! People still came out to check out Richmond’s culinary scene.
ET exec chef Jannequin Bennett participated in the chefs’ competition and while the prize was taken home by Chef Christine Wansleban of Mise en Place, Spicy Beef Sliders with Cucumber-Mango Slaw and runner up Chef J. Frank of Positive Vibe Cafe, Tuna Seviche Salad with Lotus Chips, people around Richmond are still talking about Jannequin’s Afghani Seitan Stew and Raw Linguini and “Meat”balls.
And, to take a moment to brag about Jannequin, she’s on the board at Positive Vibe, so she is thrilled for them, of course. She also participates in many charitable events and is a huge supporter of New Visions, New Ventures and has picked-up several new product lines from recent grads of the program - more yummy news on those little treats later.
