Great Taste 2008

Just got back from the food show at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services did a great job. It was inspiring to walk around and see all the wonderful products from Virginia and meet the people that make them. There was a gentleman from VA Beach who had the best smoked salmon I think I have ever tasted. His name is David Terry and his company is the Beach Smoke House. As he put it “I am just a one man band trying to make it work”. His Salmon is farmed and his blue fish comes right out of the Chesapeake Bay. Then there was Dr. Lucy’s from Norfolk VA. Karen and Paul’s cookies are Certified Vegan, Kosher, Gluten Free, Made without Wheat, Milk, Eggs, Peanuts and Tree Nuts and they are DELICIOUS! We are clearing a space on the shelves for those as we speak!
We are always looking for local vendors that work within our product standards….anyone have someone they would like to suggest???? Please send it along.
