As a local independent business we have a strong commitment to supporting
Virginia Businesses and farms. Unlike other grocery stores, when we say “Local” we truly mean local! No product created outside of a 100-mile radius bears the Ellwood Thompson’s Local Label. You won’t find sweet potatoes from Pennsylvania or Vidalia Onions from Georgia with a local label at Ellwood Thompson’s. Shopping locally for food has many benefits. Local food is better for you nutritionally. It’s better for the environment, and its better for the economy. But our commitment to local does not stop at just offering locally grown and produced products. We try to source everything we can from local vendors, whether it be our business cards or our web hosting. Ellwood Thompson’s chooses local first, helping to strengthen our community.
